Malta is an archipelago in the central Mediterranean between Sicily and the North African coast. It's a nation known for historic sites related to a succession of rulers including the Romans, Moors, Knights of Saint John, French and British. It has numerous fortresses, megalithic temples and the Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum, a subterranean complex of halls and burial chambers dating to circa 4000 B.C. Looking at the map of Europe, Malta lies just 93 km (58 miles) South of Sicily (Italy) in Southern Europe and roughly 300 km (186 miles) North from the North African coast. Malta is an island nation that consists of three islands: main island Malta, Gozo and Comino. Trip from 3rd - 10th April Day 1 Early flight from Gatwick on arrival we are transferred to our hotel, we relax and enjoy our new surroundings. Day 2 After breakfast we discover Malta’s two smaller islands, Gozo and Comino, on this full-day boat tour from Bugibba. Cruise along the rugged coastline to reach the Crystal and Blue lagoons with their turquoise waters and see a shipwreck on this relaxing tour. Day 3 Free Day Day 4 With Sicily close by it's worth visiting this beautiful part of Italy. We can either spend the day or shift the itinerary around and stay 2 nights in Taormina or Catania, Sicily is just over 2 hours away via catamaran, it's only eighty kilometres. Malta is well connected to the Italian island by ferry, with frequent crossings all week from a couple of Sicilian cities to the Maltese capital. Day 5 Free Day Day 6 After breakfast at 10am we meet with our guide to the main sights of Valletta and discover hidden gems on a 3-hour walking tour of the capital of Malta. Explore the modernized parts of the city and continue along the historic streets of the magnificent city centre. Day 7 Free Day Day 8 Last day, however as we have a late flight home, we can use this opportunity to venture out and explore or just relax in the sun. It's the beginning of the Easter holiday let's visit Devon and Cornwall which forms the far southwest tip of England, jutting out into the Atlantic ocean. This is one of Britain's most popular tourist areas, with its long sandy beaches, and very picturesque interior, with landscapes of moorland, hills and valleys, Who wants to join me never been before. Let's discover together the landscapes and history of Southwest of England on a coach tour. including the Jurassic Coast, Dartmoor, Lands End, Tintagel Castle, this tour offers a unique view of a beautiful part of Britain. Trip from 4th - 8th April Day 1 We leave London and travel through the historic city of Winchester. Then onto the standing stone circle of Stonehenge. Having explored this mystical place, our tour will continue to Exeter, the Romans most southwesterly fortified settlement where we will reside for 2 nights. Day 2 After a hearty breakfast we spend the day exploring the magnificent wilderness of Dartmoor, the ancient "Clapper Bridge" at Postbridge, and the historic market town of Tavistock, home to Francis Drake. Return to Exeter in the early afternoon to explore the Roman town, with its underground passages, ancient walls, Royal Albert Memorial Museum and famous 12th-Century Norman Cathedral. Day 3 After breakfast we check out from our hotel and travel west into the heart of Arthurian legend country and the Celtic kingdom of Cornwall. The day’s highlights include the ancient capital of Cornwall, Launceston, with its 12th-Century Norman keep perched overlooking Bodmin Moor, and the Elizabethan fishing village of Boscastle. Indulge in a cream tea, take a stroll out to the dramatic headland or learn a spell or two in the Museum of Witchcraft. Continue to the west coast and the romantic Tintagel Castle, birthplace of King Arthur, before travelling south to the seaside University town of Falmouth where we will reside for 2 nights. Day 4 After breakfast we head off and explore the most westerly tip of England on this magnificent day, taking in St. Michael’s Mount, the incredible Minack Theater, built into the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the beautiful National Trust beach at Porthcurno. Let's look out for pirates at Penzance! England’s most westerly point beckons at Lands End before following the dramatic coast, with windswept moors and old stone Celtic communities, up to the artistic haven of St. Ives. Day 5 After breakfast we say farewell to Cornwall and travel back through the Devon countryside with stops for photos and refreshments before arriving in the famous little town of Glastonbury for lunch. Glastonbury Tor rises high above the town and has mythical connections with King Arthur and Avalon. From here you will return back eastwards to London, a city completely removed from the experiences you have enjoyed in the magical counties of Devon and Cornwall. We will be staying in locally owned, friendly B&B's and guesthouses with tranquility in scenic locations in the lovely southwest of England. Cork; Irish: Corcaigh, from corcach, meaning "marsh", is a city in south-west Ireland, in the province of Munster. As of the 2016 census, the city had a population of 125,657, but following a boundary extension in 2019, the population increased to c. 210,000. It is the second largest city in the Republic of Ireland. Is Cork the best place in the world? The locals certainly think so. One thing you’ll notice about this breezy, cosmopolitan city in Ireland’s southwest is that it inspires a devotion in its dwellers that no other place can rival. Sitting proudly on an island in the middle of the River Lee, Cork is a bustling collection of cool coffee shops, vibrant art galleries, unusual museums and seriously good pubs. Despite being a city, there’s a decidedly towny feel here – life is laidback, nothing is too much hassle. Pleasantly compact, friendly, and with a wry sense of humour, Cork does things its own way whether it’s jazz festivals or craft beers.
