Abstract: Steve will tell us about this new studio which enables objects and humans to be captured in volumetric detail and the creation of super-realistic environments.
Bio: Steve Jelley is a producer and entrepreneur specialising in immersive technology and the creative industries. Following positions at Electronic Arts and Apple, Steve co-founded Hammerhead VR in 2014.

Title: “Real-Time 3D Scene Perception Using Vision”
Abstract: Latest SLAM systems are capable of dense and detailed 3D reconstruction and, increasingly, semantic labelling and object awareness. Andy will describe and connect the research that he and others have conducted in this field over the recent years.
Bio: A world-authority on SLAM, Andy’s background includes many world-firsts, including (2003), the first ever, real-time, single-camera SLAM system (MonoSLAM); and (2016), the first ever 3D, real-time SLAM system, using an Event Camera.
