What we're about

Every experience - even the most ordinary - is a doorway into an entire inner universe!

This Meetup is for people who are looking for the next step in their personal development journey. Meditation and spirituality bring us to our depth, but how do we live what we find? How do we take what we discover off the cushion or out the yoga studio and into our lives? And in therapy we learn about our past and its impact on us now, but how do we connect to our essence, our deeper self?

Inquiry is a remarkable practice based on the inseparable relationships between our beingness, our history, and our daily life. By getting in touch with and understanding what's real and true in our immediate experience we can liberate what is most real within us, to live our life in a new way. Learning and practicing to be more fully in touch with our experience in the moment, and being truthful in articulating our experience is a profound practice more akin to to learning say tai chi or yoga or a martial art than an purely intellectual exercise.

Inquiry is the principle practice of the Diamond Approach - a highly acclaimed path of growth and wisdom based on the deep understanding of how psychology and spirituality and living are all connected. The Diamond Approach was originated by AH Almaas, and has been endorsed by Ken Wilber, Jack Kornfield, Sandra Maitri, Sherry Ruth Anderson and Geneen Roth to name but a few - some of whom are prominent teachers of the Diamond Approach.

We meet to explore and inquire into where we are. We will discover how each moment of our experience including our issues and difficulties, is a doorway to what is most real within us. Meeting with others who are also interested in being real and finding the truth generates a powerful support that takes us all deeper.

The inquiry of the Diamond Approach recognizes the uniqueness of each individual and adapts itself to each person's needs at the time. It does not require that people adapt to some ideal, but welcomes people as they are and helps them to take the natural next step for their unique development.
