3 spaces left on Back-to-Basics "the fundamentals of life drawing" course which starts this Friday 9 Sept. at 7pm

Dear All

due to last minute cancellations we have 3 spaces left on the back-to-basics course starting this Friday. Flyer attached.

The course is a 10 week course suited for anyone wishing to make progress in their life drawing, whatever their levels of accomplishment. People always ask how it is possible that this course caters for all levels including advanced and beginners: this is because the course strips back what people already know of life drawing, then teaches them classical techniques, tips and tricks for approaching every aspect of the human figure.
Each session deals with one such aspect, such as for example 'measuring in the life room', 'foreshortening', 'drawing hands and feet', 'drawing the human head', 'drawing facial features' etc. I have attached 5 screenshots taken from the handouts of 5 different sessions to give you an idea of what you will be learning.

Many of the people who attend our drop-in classes Mondays/Thursdays have taken ths course in previous years, so if you would like some feedback, you can ask around or we can point you towards someone who has done the course previously.

The cost is £120 (£100 concessions: students, retirees, out of work, low-waged) and this includes everything - all materials incl. paper. As always we provide easels / trestles and different models for every session. Attendee numbers are limited to ensure that there is enough teaching time for each student on the course. Any sessions missed can be taken again during the next run of the course (runs 2x a year).

Do let us know if you are interested.

Very warm regards
