[London Semantic Web Meetup] Charging for Meetings

From: Ian B.

Hi All,

I want to get an idea about how you all feel about charging for meetings. We can’t always get sponsors for every meetup, and there are costs involved with food, organisation, and the fees that charge for using their website. Up to now, I’ve been picking up all these costs myself, which is OK for the occasional meetup, but probably doesn’t scale up to frequent meetings.

I spoke to Marco Neumann who’s involved in the NYC semantic web meetup and he said most of the US groups charge a small fee. To gauge opinion, I’ve started a poll:

I’d be grateful if you could take a couple of seconds to respond.
