Come along on Saturday 10th December for an evening at the Bridewell theatre to see the Jeeves & Wooster play; 'Perfect Nonsense'!
About the play
When a country house weekend takes a turn for the worse, Bertie Wooster is unwittingly called on to play matchmaker, but also to steal a silver cow creamer from Totleigh Towers. Naturally, the ever dependable Jeeves is there to prevent Bertie from making a fool of himself in front of a cast of Wodehouse's finest characters. Enjoy an evening of raucous comedy in the company of Gussie Fink-Nottle, Madeline Bassett, Sir Watkin Bassett, Dahlia Travers, Roderick Spode and Constable Oates.
Join the effervescent, aristocratic fool Bertie Wooster and his dutiful valet, Jeeves in this Olivier award-winning play.
The characters Jeeves & Wooster were created by the author P.G Wodehouse [masked]).
About the Bridewell Theatre
The theatre is part of the St Bride's Foundation, which gets its name from the nearby St Bride's Church. The foundation building opened in 1894 as a recreational centre and printing school for the nearby printing industry on Fleet Street. It also had an indoor swimming pool. In 1994 the swimming pool was filled in and the space was made into a theatre.
The play lasts about 2 hours.
It starts at 7:30pm, but we are meeting beforehand from 6:45pm in the bar of the theatre.
Tickets for the group are £10 each in advance, on the day they are £12.
