One evening a month for the next 4 months, we will be having a series of talks aimed at people in the group who are from overseas, who are new to London and would like to learn more about the country they are in and it's people.

They will be at a beginner to intermediate level and the talks will be given by myself using slides on the giant screen the pub has.

The remaining talk will be on:

Thu 11th July - English People (mannerisms, culture, what makes us?)

Each talk will last about 1 hour, with questions afterwards.

About the second talk: People
The fourth talk will be about English people, what characteristics make them, how they have changed and evolved from the Romans to the 20th century.

On the talk we will learn about:

- Geography of the UK
- Mannerisms, humour, what we like/dislike etc
- Characteristics of English people
- Accents in England & regional cultural differences
- Influences on English culture
- Class
- Customs & traditions

The talk will be finished by 8:00pm

Cost is Free for Full Members of the group and £6 per person for everyone else (payable on the day).
