Virtual Developer Day: Java SE 7 and JavaFX 2.0 (in Feb.)

From: Martijn V.

Hi all,

This is a pretty cool opportunity to pick up some of the basic Java 7
updates (without having to listen to Ben and I all of the time ;p).

Java FX 2.0 is actually.... not bad. A bunch of us have had a play
and it's actually worth at least trying out for yourself and forming
your own opinion. It's a little like Android or Flex development in
terms of layout (+ve or -ve depending on your point of view), but it
might just turn out to be something... Worth a look anyhow!

More details below, Cheers, Martijn

Please note that Oracle is offering a free online developer day next
month (on Feb. 14 in Americas timezones and Feb. 28 in
Europe/ME/Africa timezones):

This is a great way to get an introduction to Java SE 7 and JavaFX
2.0, for those who need one (without leaving your seat). Pass it
