Re: [ljc] BSc or MSc

Hi all,

Many very good points. I'll also emphasize that it depends...
I'm coming from the immigrant perspective plus having experienced some burn-out after my BSc (in a different education system from most of you I'm sure). I pursued my MSc which revived my passion for my work and helped me find a job in the UK.

Hi

I received a BSc in Software Engineering and then did a MSc in Computer Science. Now I am currently preparing for an MBA.
If you enjoyed your BSc degree in computer science or software engineering I would definetly go for an MSc its a good extension.

If you want to do research etc I would straight away start doing a PHD.

Hey guys,

We recently had a conversation about the relevance of an MBA to a Software Engineer's career. How about an MSc?

I have had this question come directly to me:

"I am a graduate in Computer Science Engineering. I want to study the MSc course in Software Engineering. I would like to know the advantages of a Masters degree over a Bachelors degree and is Software Engineering a good field to specialise in?"

I'm keen to get your thoughts in this space. How do you personally view it?

Thanks,
Barry
