Napa and Sonoma Valley Wine Tasting Experience

Life is way too short to drink (or even taste) cheap wine, and Lone Star Skiers and Adventure Club plans on tasting the best both Napa and Sonoma Valley, California have to offer.  If you've never been to the wine country, this is an experience you don't want to miss!!

You will travel on your own to San Francisco and to Napa.  However, we can work together to coordinate flights and carpool up to the wine country.

Our wonderful hotel, Best Western Inn at the Vines, is 1 1/2 miles from downtown Napa, and within walking distance to several wonderful restaurants and shops.

On Friday morning, a limo bus will pick us up and carry us off to Acadia Vineyard for a tour and tasting; then to pick up our box lunch (included), and off to Beaulieu Vineyard, followed by Provenance Vineyards where we will also have our picnic lunch, finally ending up at Sterling Vineyards where we will end our day with an aerial tram tour and a specatular view of Napa Valley.

Friday night, we'll enjoy a nice evening in town on our own, exploring the many fine restaurants and bars.

Saturday, we will again be whisked off by our limo bus for another 6 hour tour of Sonoma, starting with Benziger Family Winery for our private tasting and tram tour, including the caves, then En Garde, a smaller beautiful winery where we will taste 5-7 wines.  We will enjoy our fabulous lunch and wine tasting at VJB Vineyards and Cellars, and wrap up our day at Ledson Winery & Vineyards, known as the Castle around the world, where we'll taste 6 wines.

Saturday night, we'll again enjoy a nice evening in town.

Sunday, we'll head back to the airport, unless you choose to stay over on your own to explore all that the area has to offer! We are negotiating the same discounted rates for those wishing to stay over.

All this for the low price of $526 (not including air or transportation to Napa) (includes 3 nights lodging, 2 days of 6-hour wine tours, all tours/tastings, lunch both days, and activities)

NOTE:  You must be a paid member of Lone Star Skiers and Adventure Club to join us on this (or any) trip.  To join our club, go to and click on the membership tab.  Single memberships are $30 per year; joint memberships are $60.  Click on the button next to the membership of your choice and follow the prompts.  Once you have joined, you can sign up for the trip by going to, signing in, and clicking on the trips tab!  Contact [masked] if you have any problems.

For a quick trip, it was great with a variety of wineries on the agenda and many dining options.

Fantastic!! We were tasting $60-$100 bottles of wine at many wineries, and getting some fascinating tours. Everyone who went was so much fun!!
