Any member is welcome to suggest an event on their own under the following guidelines:

1) Member is in good standing. If you are in good standing, #2 is a suggestion. If you are a brand spanking new member with no events under your belt, you MUST follow #2 below
2) Member has explicit and direct permission from either the Group Organizer (or Fearless Leader (FL)) and/or an Event Coordinator. WHEN IN DOUBT, ASK THE FL.
3) Member upholds LBG Attendance rules and reports no-shows to the Event Coordinator. In summary: we ask you to please use sign in sheets! We're really trying to get an idea of how many active members we have, and this would be extremely helpful.

Long Beach Geeks understands that members are also active in other groups, and may want to let LGB members know about events going on in these groups. We love to hear about other geeky events in the area. This is allowed ONLY if the following conditions are met:

1) Members in good standing are eligible for cross-posting consideration. If you are a brand-spanking-new member with no events under your belt, refer to #2 below.
2) BOTH the Fearless Leader (FL) AND the Event Organizer are consulted before permission is granted to post on the LBG meetup page or any of the LBG social media sites. The FL considers all requests that hit her inbox.
3) When in doubt, ask the FL.

Unauthorized cross-posts will be ignored or deleted at the Fearless Leader or Event Organizer's discretion. Repeat violations make invoke the Mummy's Curse (aka, removal from Long Beach Geeks). If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Thanks!
