Announcing a new Meetup for Longboarding New York City!

What: Longboarders vs. Straphangers - Coney Island Edition

When: Thursday, June 3,[masked]:00 PM

Where: (A location has not been chosen yet.)

This Thursday afternoon is going to be the first event in a new Game of Skate. It's called Longboarders-VS-Straphangers.

We will meet at Bowery & Canal. One person will take the subway, everyone else will skate from a NYC street corner to Coney Island in order to try and prove that a long haul skate can be faster than the MTA.

Take a break from the Central Park loop for one afternoon, have some fun before Saturday's race.

More info on the Concrete Kings facebook page

Sounds like any route is valid. Rob posted a suggested route on the event page - apx 11-12 miles.

Ill be straphanging (taking the train out to Coney) with my board in tow smile
