A Benefit for the Our Center

Crackpots

HELP FIGHT HUNGER AND BE CREATIVE! UUs will gather at Crackpots to decorate and donate bowls in preparation for the Empty Bowls luncheon, an annual fundraising event of the OUR Center. You don’t need to be artistic! Anyone can do this. There are lots of possibilities: stamps, stencils, idea books full of images. Fun for all ages; bring family and friends. We can visit, chat and enjoy each other’s company as we create. The cost to you will be $15.00 per bowl (tax deductible). Crackpots is waiving the usual studio fee. After you paint it, you leave your bowl at Crackpots and they will fire it and donate it to Empty Bowls. PLEASE RSVP by Tuesday, February 19, to Tracy [masked]. We need to know a few days in advance how many are planning to participate. THANK YOU. And plan ahead to attend the Empty Bowls luncheon, to which our bowls are donated. It will take place on Saturday, March 16, 11 - 1 PM (Doors open at 10:30.) at Longmont High School. Tickets are available at Crackpots or call[masked] or visit www.ourcenter.org for more details under “events”. Tickets are $20.00, $25.00 at the door.

February Wine & Spirit

1148 Grant St

LUUP Wine & Spirit is a monthly LUUP social community event (age range has been expanded -- now for any adults!) where we discuss a spiritual topic with the option of consuming an adult beverage of choice. We rotate the day of the week, and alternate between restaurants and people’s homes in Longmont. February's topic is Trust - OR - we might explore dismantling white supremacy thinking: Quantity Over Quality. Join us for potluck at the "Hinkberg's" on Wed., February 27th!

Community Dinner

Family Village

Come for a shared meal and soulful meaning-making on the first and third Fridays of the month, 5:30–7:30 pm, at the Family Village in downtown Longmont: 350 Terry Street, first floor. There is ample parking in the lot across Terry Street or on the street. Suggested donation $5. No need to bring anything unless you feel strongly compelled to; we're moving away from a potluck model to reduce barriers to attendance, especially for families with small children and those coming directly from work. If you enjoy cooking and would like to be involved in the preparation of an upcoming meal, please contact the steering committee: [masked]. We are aware that there are individual dietary requirements and we will do our best to offer a vegan and gluten-free option. Also, please feel free to bring food to meet your special needs (microwave available).
