Bridgeport Milling Machine - Introductory Course (~4hrs)

Max 4 students per class Min.3 students

We will Cover:

Safety, materials basics, tramming, indicating vise, using parallels, work holding, collets, edge finders, drilling, tapping, using DRO, basic milling, calculating cutting speed, etc

IMPORTANT:

Before attending the “Yellow” class, each member must watch the training videos in the “MIT Machine Shop“ series titled “Working with Milling Machine” (Parts 1&2): MAKE SURE YOU WATCH MILLING MACHINE 1&2, not basic metal working skills 1&2

Note: If this is your first machine shop class you will need to also pay the "machine shop fee"... a one-time fee of $40.00 which is included in the class fee; this is to help cover the infrastructure costs, tooling, and consumables. If you have already paid the $40.00 you will need pay only the $50.00 for the class fee.
