What To Expect

Beginner Track

We won't have an official beginner track this time. However, you're welcome to work through the tutorial on your own: Carbon Five developer Arbind Thakur has created a self-paced tutorial, The Essence of CoffeeScript (http://coffeescript.carbonfive.com/)

Advanced Track

We'd like to foster an environment for discussion and collaboration. To facilitate this we encourage people to bring projects/ideas to show off and discuss

Carbon Five (http://www.carbonfive.com/) developer Rudy Jahchan will be showing off vimTronner, a multiplayer Tron game that trains you in vim navigation

Panda Strike (http://www.pandastrike.com/) developer Dan Yoder will be showing off a simple on-demand chat application, Glidechat (https://github.com/pandastrike/glidechat/tree/mvp)

Agenda

We usually eat, drink and mingle until around 6:30 when we officially get started with introductions

RSVP

Leave a comment about what you're working on, any CoffeeScript projects you may be bringing with you, etc. so others can see what you're up to

Parking

I usually park on Wilshire and walk

ParkMe (http://www.parkme.com/map/?lat=34.019087&lng=-118.49774500000001&zoom=16) has more parking information

IRC

We have an IRC (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2rGTXHvPCQ) channel. "It's how hackers talk when they don't want to be overheard"
