This is a group for people working to Reclaim Their Life after a loss. One of the obstacles a grieving person faces is everyone who wants them to stop grieving. In this group you will learn how to protect your grief and your grieving process, and how to establish boundaries between yourself and those who want to 'fix' you. Grief work is work, it is about learning how to integrate your loss into your life. "Getting over it" is not recovery from grief. Each individual has their own unique experience of their loss. When a family member dies its not one person but the person they were to each person individually who survives them: if one of a family of four dies its as if three people in the family died because each person has their own unique relationship to the deceased. You will learn not to feel guilty for your grief, and not dismiss your own grief when comforting someone that is grieving harder.

Grieving is some of the most difficult work that we do; we do it to reclaim our lives by embracing our loss and accepting it and feeling our pain and respecting it.
