Group Study for Coursera Class?

Hi This is a continuation of the comment thread about having group study sessions for the Coursera class.

I've been wanting to do this for a while, and have a perfect space where we could have study sessions. We could also include remote tune-in via Skype or perhaps Webex.

The location is called Droplabs, in Lincoln Heights. It's pretty central, and about a minute from the 5. There's a firepit and we have a great place to celebrate afterwards.

Thanks for the offer. Sounds like an interesting venue. Der Google indicates that this is part of Big Art Labs, yes? And I see a number of fees on the Services & Prices tab at wondering what this might cost?

A recent Coursera course on Data Analysis (which was really a machine learning course) had a local study group that met at a Peets in Marina Del Rey. This worked out fine and was free.

I plan to take the class starting this week too. I live in the South Bay. going downtown for a study group is too much for me. If anyone wants to talk to me about working together on the the west side or south bay, I'd be interested.

Perhaps we could setup a Skype Group to avoid the traffic? After work, getting somewhere, anywhere in LA is horrendous. So either we meet up later in the evening giving us the time to commute, or do it virtual on Skype or Google Hangout.

skype or a Google hangout sounds like a good idea. I live in Westwood and could possibly host.

I too will be taking this course and it'd be great to find a study group to participate with. I live near and work in downtown LA, so depending on distance and availability, I can commute if need be.

Hi There -

Droplabs would be free if anyone would like to meet in person. I work there. Otherwise, I'm also open for a skype or Google hangout.

What are the best days for people to meet?
