Extending the R language to the enterprise with TERR & Spotfire

Extending the R language to the enterprise with TERR & Spotfire

Lou Bajuk-Yorgan, TIBCO

While R has provided tremendous benefits to statisticians, it often faces barriers to acceptance in the enterprise software world. TIBCO Enterprise Runtime for R (TERR) helps overcome these barriers, by enabling R users to leverage their scripts on an enterprise-friendly platform. I'll show how TERR enables the R language in interactive Spotfire visualizations and real-time, event-driven applications.

Bio: Lou Bajuk-Yorgan leads Predictive Analytics product strategy at TIBCO Spotfire, including the development of TIBCO Enterprise Runtime for (TERR). Lou frequently speaks and tweets (@LouBajuk) about the value of Predictive Analytics for getting the most out of your data.

Timeline:

- 6:15pm pizza arrives and networking

- 7:00pm talks starts promptly

Please arrive by 6:55pm the latest.

Please RSVP as places are limited.

Venue: Adconion Media Group (3301 Exposition Blvd, Santa Monica). They will kindly provide pizza and drinks (big thanks to Mikhail and AMG for that and for providing the place).

Not much on technique, but now I understand the niches for this and similar products.

Hi! Do you know if there is a similar Spotfire group in the Bay Area? PerkinElmer is hosting a FREE Spotfire for Scientists day (with R and TERR) on May 6 in the Bay Area from 8-3PM. We are open to a happy hour as well. Can you put on your feed? I wil try and fly down for the April 1 LA event. Thanks, [masked]
