Crystal Springs Drive & Griffith Park blvd., los Angeles, CA
This will be a jog/hike to Mt Hollywood at the top of Griffith Park. There will be a great 360 degree view of Los Angeles County. It is about a 6 mile roundtrip with about 1000 feet of elevation gain. We can always do more if you want. It usually takes me about 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete the whole thing, but we can slow the pace down, it is not a big deal.
Bring water if you need it. Wear a hat and some sunscreen if you burn easily, because most of the trail will be in direct sunlight. Bring a snack for energy if you aren't used to this type of effort.
There is a water station at the bottom of the hill, one in the middle, and one at the top, but I prefer to bring a bottle with me because it was hot last week. :/
All skill levels are welcome but it is assumed that you will at least *try* and jog part of the way.
We will do intervals, which means we will jog for a while and then stop and rest, or continue on at a hiking pace.
We can also do some burpees along the way or finish off the jog at the outdoor gym near the Ranger Station to really burn some calories.
