I've been subscribing to the "Community Chickens" blog from Mother Earth News for a while, and a recent posting seemed to be something you all might be interested in reading. Here's a link to their June 18 post.

None of us want to think of end-of-life issues regarding our birds, but it's better to figure out a plan when there's no real urgency, as opposed to having to come up with a plan under the stress of dealing with a sick or injured bird. I hope this helps . . . .
