What we're about

This is a group for anyone who loves videogame music and wants to explore playing it for fun. All instruments welcome (even non-accoustic such as chiptune and/or DJ electronic), all ability levels, and all types of videogame music are welcome. We can take turns bringing in sheet music/chord charts of our favorite games--well known or obscure is welcome (and if not, I have plenty of sheet music, from Mario to Final Fantasy). Or maybe you have a cool arrangement you want to try with other musicians...bring it on! We can have an Informal, fun, jamming vibe, and/or we can nerd out and rehash the intricate harmonies of the counterpoint in that Castlevania theme. Let's explore some of that awesome music that got stuck in our heads!!!!

Upcoming events (5+)

Sight-read old and new videogame music together!

Check out a couple new additions to the group--including our REQUEST page: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd9O9s8xhSCA8d8nFuZ_AjRPHUBfhfT8G8ftEhSMuTkYx7wfw/viewform?c=0&w=1 Filling out this form will help us to prepare music for the rehearsals (and you can even specify which rehearsal you want the song to be played at, up to a month and a half in advance): Fill out your VG music requests with that form and it will automatically populate into our database where I or whoever can easily find the info and get the music prepared. Also this database has a ton of cool extra info including cool VG radio stations. And, as we get the database more and more updated, you can peruse it to see the variety of music we already have in our repertoire (or where we're lacking): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iIYTHsAttohqmugHetoo_Q7jRN3ZtgUsRrRiVwvI-30/pubhtml# Also, check out (and join if you'd like) our Facebook Group Page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/lagamemusic/ COMING UP THIS SATURDAY!
