What we're about

Welcome to the meetup group "Buddhist Methods for Transforming the Mind".

We are a group of friendly, sincere, warm-hearted Buddhist practitioners studying Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism. We are dedicated to providing both newcomers to Buddhism as well as established practitioners an opportunity to study, learn, and practice Buddha’s teachings. We are learning to create more happiness in our lives and to see each moment as a precious chance to cultivate inner-satisfaction, happiness, love, compassion & wisdom. This is an incredible opportunity to change your life, your world, and your mind!

Our group is under the guidance of our precious Lama Namnang Mingjo Dorje Rinpoche, a very humble and accomplished scholar and teacher of all three schools of Buddhism. Mingjo Rinpoche’s sincerity, dedication and guidance is very inspiring and brings the Buddhist teachings alive in our daily lives. His kindness and care for every one of his students is on a deeply personal level. He has the special ability to teach students at all levels so that everyone can understand and no one is left behind.

For our members, we provide opportunities to learn and grow. We invite you to join us in this extraordinary opportunity to learn Buddhist theory and how to practice Buddhist Meditation to develop an experiential understanding of Buddhism. The powerful Buddhist Meditations help to transform the mind, and leave you feeling peaceful, stable, lighter and clearer.
