Chinese American Museum follow-up...

From: Rudy

Hello All,

During our meetup tour of the Chinese American Museum a few weeks ago, the tour guides mentioned briefly about the Chinese massacre that occurred in downtown Los Angeles in 1871. A new book has just been published about the event, titled, The Chinatown War : Chinese Los Angeles and the Massacre of 1871 by Scott Zesch.

There was a review of the book in yesterday's Sunday L.A. Times. It's definitely a look at the darker side of Los Angeles history, but a significant one. Just sending this out to anyone who might be interested but may have missed this review.

best to all
