Have you ever experienced a part of yourself that wants to go to the gym and workout and then there is another part that wants to sit on the sofa and binge Netflix. Or maybe there is a part of your that wants to eat healthier foods and then another part that wants to feel the comfort of warm, cheese covered pasta. Stop fighting against yourself and get all parts of you on the same page. In this MeetUp we will use an NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming) technique that will help get different parts of yourself to align and move forward to a common goal. Come prepared with an unwanted behavior you would like to stop doing but can’t seem to get a handle on it; or a new positive behavior you have been trying to do, but something stops you. This will be a guided meditation so if you would like to sit on the floor please bring something comfortable, other wise we will have chairs.
“What we experience in life is a projection of our subconscious, automated beliefs.” In this MeetUp we will examine what our core beliefs are around your health. The thing that happen to you that seem to be outside of your control are the manifestations of your core beliefs. In fact, everything that you, or anyone asserts about how things are, how life works, or what is true, is an assertion of a core belief. The more certain you are that you are right about something, the more certain it is that you are expressing a core belief. If you are experiencing issues related to your health or body that you would like to not be experiencing chances are it is connected to a core belief(s). We will be doing some writing so please bring a pen or a pencil.
In this MeetUp we will accessing the origin of a limiting belief(s) and updating the old meaning to a new one and creating new, automatic neural associations. Come prepared with an unwanted belief you have around your health that you would like to revise / update. We will be walking around so please make sure you are able to stand and walk in order to participate in this NLP technique. Limiting beliefs around health can include: • It is hard for me to lose weight • It am always in physical pain • Everyone else has it easier than me when it comes to eating healthier • I am always fluctuating in my weight • My weight protects me from the world • I have no discipline, I’m just a failure • I need more willpower • It’s too hard, I can’t do it • Why bother, I'm just going to fail • I just can't do it on my own • I know what to do, but can’t get started
In this MeetUp we will explore your relationship to your body. You will leave with a better understanding of what is taking place between you and your body on a subconscious level. We will utilize an adaptation of Fritz Perl's Perceptual Positions with family systems work layered in. Come with an open mind and be prepared to see your experience from many different perspectives.
