What we're about

What We're About:

We're a group of social men and women in their thirties and forties who enjoy exploring Louisville. We strive to host fun events like happy hours, trivia, game night, concerts, festivals, sports events, etc. What makes us different from other groups on MeetUp? We are committed to having regular events and encouraging active membership. We also want everyone to feel welcome. We especially value communication and input from members.

A few things to be mindful of before joining:

- This group is for making friends first and having fun. We want to make sure all feel comfortable and safe. To protect our members we will not allow harassment or solicitation of any kind within the group

- Please have a clear picture of your face so that we can identify you at events.

- We have a "no show policy". If you RSVP that you are going to an event and do not change it to reflect that you will not be attending more than 3 times in a row, you might be removed from the group. We ask that you please update your RSVP or message the event organizer if you cannot make it. This is so we can make sure to have an accurate amount of seats for all members at events.

- We want active members, therefore if you are a member of the group for a full year and have not attended any events, you will be removed from the group. You are welcome to rejoin whenever you think you will have more time to be a part of the group.

- This Meetup group is FREE. However, many may not be aware that there are monthly subscription fees for the organizers. We ask that if you do become an active member and like our group, that you consider donating $1-5 towards our subscription fees. These fees range from $10-15 every month and are currently being paid for by our four co-organizers.

- Do you have an event you'd like to host? Please let us know! We encourage everyone to host an event. It would be great if you'd like to be a regular organizer, but even if you'd just like to host something one time, please let us know! We'd love to have your help.

Thanks!
