The CDC recently announced that people in areas with substantial or high COVID-19 transmission rates should start wearing masks again indoors even if they have been vaccinated. This currently includes Cuyahoga County.
Stay Safe. Stay Healthy. IF YOU ARE NOT FULLY VACCINATED, WEAR A MASK. THANK YOU.
Temperatures will be taken before you enter. CDC considers a person to have a fever when they have a measured temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or greater. For the safety of all our dancers, if you have a fever temperature, you will be asked to leave immediately.
Our contemporary style of line dancing is partner-free dancing to all kinds of music. We teach a variety of styles: cha cha, rock, country, waltz, polka, merengue, novelty, rumba, folk, circle and even an Argentine Tango. Many of the dances we teach you can dance at weddings and night clubs.
You may see us line dancing all around the town: at Jackie's Meetup dances (he reserves a table for us), St. Basil's Halloween Dance, the Summer Sunday evening concerts at Parma/Parma Heights, and local night spots. We have performed at SouthPark Mall, Broadview Heights and Seven Hills Home Days. Eighteen of us tried out for the Cleveland Cavaliers' Senior Dance Team. Five of our dancers have been selected! You, too, can be part of the fun!
From 6:45 to 7:30 we teach five "beginner" level line dances, followed by a 5 minute break. We then teach one and two-wall line dances for the next half hour. After a 10 minute refreshment break, we teach the more complex dances till 9. You will get plenty of exercise without even realizing it!
Paved parking lot is well lit.
The $4 entrance donation is given to the Philippine American Cultural Center (1975 W. Ridgewood Drive, Parma, Ohio). Please bring your own refreshments. No alcohol allowed.
Live to dance and dance to live.
