Have you wondered what a Project Manager actually does, or what they are supposed to do? Perhaps you’ve considered a career in Project Management but don’t know if it’s for you or where to start? Maybe you’ve wondered what the difference is between a Business Analyst and a PM, and how these two key people can come together to build detailed requirements and run a beautiful project love story? In ‘PM 101’ we will delve into a brief history of Project Management, define the key roles and responsibilities of a good PM, how a PM and BA work together to being harmony to a project, and finally what you need to know (and I wish I had known) before becoming Project Manager.

About Leigh Ann Conley

Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Leigh-Ann moved to Northern Kentucky in 2004. She currently lives in Louisville with her husband, who is also Canadian, and two daughters, ages 4 and 6.

After obtaining her undergrad in Economics from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Leigh-Ann started her career with The Nielsen Co. in 2000 in Data Analytics, eventually leading her to the company’s office in Cincinnati, Oh. It was there that she obtained her Six Sigma Green Belt Certification which started her down the path of IT Project Management, an industry she has been a part of for more than 11 years. Leigh-Ann has been both a Project and Program Manager, is a Certified Scrum Master, and is bilingual in English and French.

In her non-working hours, Leigh-Ann enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, and is an avid reader.
