Volunteer Love Opportunity: Challenge Air Fly Day Please join me for one of the most magical experiences you will ever have in your life! I will be posting many more volunteer events very soon but rsvp for this one asap or today for a day that will leave your heart full of hope and inspiration!!

I know it's a ways off but these slots fill up FAST! Please take time today to forward this to a friend or someone in need of a the feeling of gratitude you get from giving to others. We will need volunteers for shifts 730AM-noon and noon-5PM at the Meacham Field.

Will you please consider helping us raise funds to help keep these amazing events happening? You can either making a donation under the membership dues button on our page or if you would like to organize a fundraiser contact me. Donations can be make on our page by clicking membership dues.

For Challenge Air's children with disabilities or serious illnesses, Fly Days make possibilities open up like the endless sky. What a life-changing travel experience at 1,500 feet in the air the children will take the controls and fly the airplane themselves and see that everything in life is possible.

We will take volunteers in shifts (7:30-noon, noon-5pm) . Challenge Air is requesting assistance with event set-up and break-down, registration, serving breakfast and lunch, attendants for bounce houses, crafts, face painting, etc. and most importantly each pilot will be assigned a team of three "Loaders" whose task it is to escort them to and from the plane, safely load and unload the children on the plane, and post flight escort them back to the red carpet cheer line where they are presented with their wings. Presently they have 30 pilots and they plan to have 100 children attend and we are setting our intentions for more. Last event I was at the cheerleading section cheering the kids while getting on and off the planes. I will be doing that again! It was a blast, but you can choose any position you want. You can also choose your shift or stay all day if you choose. Last event a pilot took some of us up to cruise around after the event was over and it was a blast! If you have a special needs child or know of one that would enjoy this event please complete the registration form on the Challenge Air website and invite them to our group. (Challenge Air Participant Registration) http://www.challengeair.com/index.php?option=com_jcalpro&Itemid=7&extmode=cat&cat_id=1  If you are planning to attend this meet-up please complete the Volunteer registration form on the Challenge Air website to provide them with an accurate headcount. All volunteers will attend a presentation and then will break out into smaller groups for task specific orientation. You must register as a volunteer at their website..... Indicate that you are with Volunteer Love from meetup during the registration process. Registration Link: http://www.challengeair.com/registration/index.php This page will be updated for all the people that RSVP for more details on shifts and location. Please contact me here if you have any questions. I hope that you will be as excited as I am to participate in making these kids' dreams come true. Challenge Air Pilot Theron Wright explains, "Once we get up to altitude and turn the controls over to the children we ask, 'If you can fly this plane what can't you do?" But it's in the air that the transformation takes place. Once up to altitude it is the time for the child spread their wings in ways most never thought possible. The volunteer Challenge Air pilot assumes co-pilot status while the youngster takes over piloting the aircraft. Suddenly Theron's question becomes their own. "If I can fly this plane, what is there that can't I do?" Pilot Theron Wright measures success in smiles-per-mile. He and his colleagues at Challenge Air have logged more than 3,500 smiles with their unique approach to opening new vistas for children with disabilities. As their Ground Crew...let's measure our success in smiles-per-hour! Learn more about Challenge Air Events here: https://challengeair.com Space is limited so sign up today!

Share this amazing opportunity of Volunteer Love with your friends today. Many more events and some social meetups will also be posted very soon! Tim Gorts[masked]

The event was so wonderful...Started out really hard with car trouble and had to make quick arrangements to get to the event, but nevertheless it was well worth it...I enjoyed hearing the cheers each time a new group of kids heading onto the planes. Had a great time and was so happy to see the number of volunteers out to help cover since I arrived later than planned Awesome Day !

I am so sorry I can't go, but my girlfriend's mother is coming home from the Hospital and we need to be with her. The event we had in McKinney made me smile for 6 months, so I really hate to miss. The kids are wonderful and they make you feel GREAT!

I took a look at my registration and it says no hour has been assigned... I picked the afternoon shirt for the registration table. I got an email saying my application had been approved, so i thought that was the reason why i went to sign up for the registration table shift was not available so I signed up for the check in table (afternoon shift) however the same thing happened. I just want to confirm my registration and its information before the event. How can I do that?
