How to find us

Luminis Amsterdam is located in the western Silo of the old CSM sugar factory. It's reachable by public transport (situated next to station Halfweg/Zwanenburg) and by car. Parking places are available in front or at the P+R of the train station.

For developers with some knowledge of JavaScript Maarten and Sander will explain the basics of React. Several types of components will be explained and their life cycle methods. There will also be a focus on the migration from React before 16.3 to React 16.3 and later. After the presentation, there will be a section with exercises to get some hands-on experience.

Speaker's details
Maarten Wilschut is a Front-end Engineer at Luminis Amsterdam, who enjoys different types of projects. An example is the DevCon app which he helped build in collaboration with Luminis colleagues. He’s constantly on the lookout for new technologies to help him and his products improve. Where he worked in the past with frameworks like Backbone and AngularJS, its all about ReactJS now.

Sander Meinema is a Software Engineer and Scrum Master at Luminis Amsterdam. He likes to build something useful, but also to facilitate a productive environment for the team. With a background in mathematics he has strong analytical skills which he can not only apply to code, but also to smooth processes.
