- Magic: The Gathering Standard Tournament
Join us at 6:30pm for a Standard Tournament. What's a Standard Tournament? It's one where you're only allowed to use cards from the most recent sets. That way, you're on an even footing with the folks that have been playing for decades. The full rules can be found here: http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=judge/resources/sfrstandard Tournament entry is $8. All entry fees go back to the players in the form of prizes, and every player is guaranteed at least one pack!
- Friday Night Magic Booster Draft
Join us for our Friday Night Booster Drafts! $15 (tax included) gets you 3 booster packs for the draft, plus 2 packs that are thrown into the prize pool--one of which you are guaranteed as a prize just for participating! New-comers to Magic are welcome!
- Star Wars X-Wing & Armada Open Play / League
All ages are welcome, and no experience is required. New games will be taught. Your host: Nick. To your fighters! Join us for friendly, casual play as the Star Wars minis take to space for epic battles and dog fights. This is the perfect event for a pick-up game with friends old and new. Players will be playing both Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures Game and its big brother Star Wars: Armada. League play (which is NOT required to participate in this Meetup) is as simple as asking the store for a league sheet so you can track your battle activity.
- War Game Wednesday
Love swords and shields, pike and musket, tanks and fighter planes? Welcome to your new Wednesday meet up. Every week we're going to celebrate the gift of Guderian, the nature of Napoleon and the sheer awesome that was Alexander. And what better way to do that than with cardboard chits and dice? Starts at 7pm and ends at 10pm.
- Dungeons & Dragons Night!
Form up with friends. Slay some dragons. Get a whole lotta loot. Or die trying? Every Wednesday night at Around the Table, volunteer Dungeon Masters run "open to the public" tables of the world's most popular Role-Playing Game: Dungeons and Dragons. While we can't always guarantee a spot at the table, this is a great place to meet other players before 6pm or after the sessions end around 9 or 10pm, and spectators are welcome--just be courteous once the games get going as they need to move along at a brisk pace! While new players are welcome, it can be a bumpy ride without any foreknowledge about how RPGs work. Having *any* prior RPG experience will help to make the sessions flow smoother for both the DMs and other players. If the tables seem too busy or you feel intimidated, just ask the staff about other public RPG games or introductory events at the shop, or join the discussion at our D&D Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/108937726489799/?source_id=600073580015958
- Living Card Game Night
Come and play the Living Card Games, or LCGs, with the regulars every Tuesday evening. Games played range, but Game of Thrones, Legend of the Five Rings and Star Wars Destiny are current favorites. Don't know how to play? New players are welcome. For more information on this and other LCGs played at the shop, check out the LCG Fans at Around the Table Facebook group, located here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/532994497041810 See you soon!
- Designer Game Night
Join us to play our favorite Designer Board Games! What's a designer game? Any of huge selection of modern games that are made for the love of a good game. No Monopoly, no licensed knock-offs. Just good games that are fun to play. Games like Settlers of Catan, Puerto Rico, Agricola, Caverna, Pastiche, Among the Stars and more. Every Monday night at Round the Table, we pick one of these, learn them and play them. Beginners are welcome and there's always someone who hasn't played, so everyone is learning.
- Pacific NW Boardgame League
We're teaming up with Card Kingdom & Meeples Games and other local stores to host a game competition of unparalleled size and scope! Players play the two games of the season (this time: Lanterns, Concordia and Deus) and any participating store from as far south as Tacoma and from Bremerton to Issaquah. Players earn points for playing either game and the top scorers get invited to the finals and will compete for prizes and a travelling trophy! Player's can play any time, but our league night will be Monday nights, from 6-10pm. That will be your best time to find a match. We've also added both games to our game library! You can find out more about the league on the facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/538092462923632/
