Yoga Speed Dating for Charity

Ashtanga Yoga Centre of Melbourne

BOOKINGS:- Please note that bookings can only be made via the TryBooking website:- https://www.trybooking.com/BDHZJ Also check out the facebook event page:- https://www.facebook.com/events/2311113829154845/ Or the Yoga Ying Melbourne website:- http://www.yogaying.com.au EVENT DETAILS:- Hello lovelies, I am running a repeat of Yoga Speed Dating for Charity, which launched a couple of months ago. We raised a total of $152 for The Smith Family, Berry Street and Australian Animal Protection Services. This upcoming session, funds are going to Safe Steps (Family Violence Response Centres) and Australian Red Cross, you can choose where your portion of profit goes towards on the evening. Tickets are $35 and the age group is 26+. The idea behind this new creation of mine is to combine exercise/well-being, social connection and giving back in the one event. Please join me if one or more of these things appeal to you. The evening starts at 5pm, please aim to arrive 5-10 minutes early to settle in. Activities include group icebreakers and games, small group poses, a rotation of partner poses, eye gazing meditation and group relaxation. This will be followed by Chai, some vegan sweets and time to mingle. Despite this being a speed dating event, you will not be asked to tick a sheet saying whom you are interested in. Instead, there will be the opportunity to go out to dinner together in a group after the event, or you may wish to ask your preferred boy/girl out to dinner. Being funky Fitzroy, there are lots of options at our fingertips. Please wear clothes that you can easily move in. Change rooms are available should you wish to change into yoga clothes. Mats and blankets are provided. No prior experience in yoga is necessary, nor are you expected to be flexible. However, you are assumed to be comfortable with a level of physical touch, as we will be linking hands and supporting each other in postures. It is also expected that all participants will be respectful of others and their own bodies. Looking forward to both having fun and raising lots of money for charity with you all! Ying
