Please join us for a special performance of Carol Barnett's The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass, featuring renowned bluegrass quintet Monroe Crossing (http://www.monroecrossing.com/) at legendary Carnegie Hall on Monday, June 9, 8:00pm, with the Masterworks Festival Chorus, led by esteemed Guest Conductor Philip Brunelle.
Within the 12 movements of Barnett's The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass, she blends the classical mass, modern choral sophistication, touching poetry and traditional bluegrass instrumentation into an exhilarating musical experience.
Monroe Crossing dazzles audiences with an electrifying blend of classic bluegrass, bluegrass gospel, and heartfelt originals. Their airtight harmonies, razor sharp arrangements, and on-stage rapport make them audience favorites across the United States and Canada.

The concert will also feature the New York Wind Symphony (http://www.nyws.org/), an exciting ensemble comprised of the region's finest symphonic winds and percussionists.
**We will be meeting at the bar of Iguana Cafe (http://www.iguananyc.com/) again for pre-concert drinks and food at 6:30pm. Iguana Cafe is a fun restaurant with the perfect atmosphere for our group. Iguana Cafe is conveniently located close to Carnegie Hall at 240 W. 54th Street, between 8th & Broadway.
