MDI (http://www.mdisuccess.com/) and the American Red Cross (http://www.redcrossblood.org/) are putting on our 10th Annual Blood Drive For Life, June 15-21 at various ARC New England Blood Donor Centers. This 10th Annual Blood Drive For Life is in special honor of Steven Honyotski who, ten years ago was in a horrible car accident, went through close to ten operations, spent over 180 days in hospitals and consumed over 100 pints of blood. Steve is alive and well today thanks in huge part to many blood donations and he has inspired our ongoing blood drive to give thanks to all those who donate the gift of life. Steve shows up every year for this June Blood Drive at the ARC Blood Donor Center, 180 Rustcraft Road, Dedham to personally thank donors and he would love to thank you!
MDI, a pan North American organization of men (http://www.mdisuccess.com/), has supported Steve (who is a member of MDI) and this blood drive every year with marketing, gathering our community, giving blood, feasting and celebrating. We have also formed a core group of donors, the 'MDI 56ers', who give blood every 56 days and welcome you to join us. Furthermore, we have found that many folks who want to give are afraid. We think this is quite natural and, in response, we are making a special effort to care for and support First Time Donors especially on June 21 at our various centers. Please let us know if you are a First Time Donor and we will take care of you!
