What we're about

MESS: Media/Entertainment & Scientific Systems.

In 2014, MESS meetups will focus on: ‘Building Software-Defined Systems for Media & Scientific workloads. MESS is sponsoring a new SDSys website: http://www.sdsys.org/ to support the community’s systems administrators, storage networking technologists, and security IT professionals, where professionals can share experiences and develop a better understanding of current and future SDSys and its components.

SDSys are expected to forever change the way IT systems are constructed, as their ability to promote, demote and suspend processing workloads, and supporting data sets naturally, avoids the “peak workload” design criteria, leading to: Higher Utilization, Cost-efficiencies, and, Superior Effectiveness
