Mental Health Association of Central Florida advocates for the Central Florida community's mental health by providing free workshops, events, training sessions, and referral services. We invite you to share with us in education, advocacy, and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health.

People's Inc. is a free support group for adults living with schizophrenia. It is a place to come together and talk about shared experiences. This is a loosely structured group where we do activities, watch movies, play games or just catch up with one another. Guardian Advocate Training

1525 E Robinson St

Are you working towards a career in mental health? Are you interested in learning about the Baker Act and the rights of individuals who are Baker Acted? Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity centered around advocacy and Mental Health? If so, this course may be of interest to you! The Guardian Advocate training program is a dynamic and vital four hour certification course. This training course offers the opportunity to become better versed in patient’s rights and knowledge of the Baker Act. We provide information on when to use this act for a family member, friend, or a client. Trainees will receive a specific certification that will allow them to advocate for an individual while they are Baker Acted. The certification does not expire, and the course can offer CEU’s for those interested. You must send an RSVP to [masked] to participate in this training.

Expressive Art: Ink Blot Art!

RSVP to come join us for a FREE evening of fun, relaxation, and self-care through expressive arts.The Mental Health Association of Central Florida seeks to provide a safe space for individuals to connect, let go, and release through artistic activities. We welcome you to attend our group every 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at our 320 N. Ferncreek Ave. location from 6PM-7:30PM! Join us on June 6th for Ink Blot Art! We will be making Rorschach style ink blot art using paper and paint. There will be a time reflection at the end of the event to interpret your inkblots. We always encourage sharing with the group, but it is not required! This activity will allow you to step away from the stress of everyday life and focus on you! Please RSVP to [masked]
