Pre Zoo-de-Mack Training Bike Ride at Hines Drive

Biking events are subject to cancellation or date change under weather conditions.

Check the event 1 hour prior to the starting time.
I will leave a message of “Go” or “No Go”.

Zoo-De-Mack 2013 is just around the corner. Join me for the training ride.
If you are not going to Zoo-do-Mack, that is OK. Just ride with me.

We will meet at the parking lot across from soccer fields that is west of Hines Dr and Haggerty Rd cross section.

Meetup Location: Google Map Link

Ride Distance: 26 miles
Speed: 14 – 18 mph on flat
Type of bikes: road bikes, mountain bikes, hybrid bikes, or city bikes
Route: Google Map Link
[A -> B-> C-> D (A)]
The route between A and B is hilly. That simulates the first 10 miles of Zoo-de-Mack ride.

You must wear a helmet.
You must bring water.
You may bring energy bar, energy gel, snack, etc.

This is a training ride. So, we might go little faster than your comfortable speed especially if you are new to cycling. But, you can go with your own speed. Feel free to cut short.

Road bikes are recommended, but not mandated.
We will take several water/restroom breaks during the ride.

Lunch after surviving the ride:

Plymouth Coffee Bean
884 Penniman Ave.
Plymouth, MI

I want to do this ride. I have a question though. I will be riding all day. Starting in Keego Harbor riding 25 miles to get to the start of this ride. 26 miles at the event. After we are done I will be riding 17 miles to the organizing events meeting. Finishing my day with another 11 back to Keego Harbor. With this much riding I want to use my Touring bike and wanted your opinion if I will be able to keep up with all of you on a steel rig.

If you join me for the lunch at Coffee Bean, I can talk about event organizing there instead.
