All are welcome. This will be good practice if you're doing one of the upcoming events that involves a 14-18 mile hike. I may or may not hike with a heavy pack. If you're running late, please call 734-56four-5187

The Plan: We'll hike the bike trail at Pontiac Lake which is an 11 mile loop. Please make sure you are ready to do 11 miles as there is no good shortcut back. Bring water and a snack. Also bring a dry pair of socks in case you step in a puddle. If you see a bike getting close, please yell BIKE and step to the right.

Meeting Place: Meet in the main parking area off of Williams Lake Road. It is right off of M-59 about 8 miles west of Pontiac. There are two sections to the parking lot- we will be meeting at the far end of the further section (this is where the trail starts).

Warning: Do not google Pontiac Lake and get directions from there- you will go to the wrong place (and everyone will point and laugh at you when you finally arrive). Please use the links above- the satellite map is especially useful.

Costs: This is a state park so you need the Recreation Pass on your windshield or license plate. It's $11 for the entire year.

Afterwards: If we work up an appetite and don't eat too many snacks, let's go to

Mexico Lindo
6225 Highland Road, Waterford, MI (,+Waterford,+MI)
Right across from the Oakland International Airport

Copyright notice: I copied most of this and the links from one of Charlie's hikes that I missed. I'm sure it's all good info because apparently no one complained last time.
