What is your current backpacking experience?

I am an old fart who has been Packing and Hiking for more than 35 years. I have joined this group to offer my assistance and experience in helping the next generation continue to enjoy all the Fantastic places there are here in MI. I hope that's OK.

Do you own a backpack, sleeping bag and tent?

Yes, multiples of each.

What's your favorite place to camp in Michigan?

That's a hard one. Isle Royale - Hartwick Pines - Pigeon River Area anywhere - Wilderness State Park - Pictured Rocks - The Black River area - The Porcupine Mountains region - Northern Lake MI. coastline anywhere

What types of outdoor activities are you especially looking to do?

No answer yet

I joined because I want to see as many 20-30 year olds getting Outdoors to do anything. I have visited all 97 State Parks in MI. I offer assistance to this Group on planning activities, getting Maps & Info to anywhere in our Fantastic State of MI.

What Robert G. is saying about this Meetup Group

The MAC group is always invited to any of the Hiking Michigan hikes. We all find the two groups very similiar in the people that attend either hike. Gets hard to tell who is who. It is good to see that MAC has hit on something that gets a younger crowd outdoors. Keep up the great work. The parks need all this support from your group to keep people aware.
