This is a group for anyone interested in learning and practicing Mindfulness. Mindfulness is a mind-body based training that is a simple way to clear and free- up the mind. It has roots in ancient meditation traditions and more recently has been scientifically proven as a powerful way to promote physical and mental wellbeing and reduce stress. 

We run monthly mindfulness classes and 8 Session Mindfulness Courses. 

Can mindfulness be useful to you? 

• Would you like to understand your mind better?

• Does it seem that you are 'running on automatic'- a sense of getting by day to day. You may even feel relentlessly busy, overwhelmed or exhausted at times. Have you considered what it might be like to live the moments of your life fully?

• Do you offer yourself the support you need? The same kindness, care and patience you would give to others?

• Are you noticing stress reactivity, low mood, anxiety?

• Would you like to improve your relationships with yourself or others?

How does mindfulness work?

 'Mindfulness is the awareness that emerges through paying attention on purpose, in the present moment, with compassion, and open-hearted curiosity. Through the practice of mindful awareness, we discover how to live in the present moment rather than ruminating about the past or worrying about the future' 

Often we go through our day on autopilot whilst the mind is busy with thoughts and worries about the past or future. Through simple practices, mindfulness helps us to pay attention to our experiences in the present moment, helping to free us from these stress-inducing patterns, giving us greater FREEDOM and CHOICE in our lives. You can expect a range of different practices such as gentle mindful movement, body scans and seated practice. 

Our approach 

Our work is inspired by the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) approach developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn and his colleagues at the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. We operate according to the Good Practice Guidelines for Teachers laid out by the UK Network for Mindfulness-Based Teacher Trainers.

Meet the trainer

Susie is Co-Founder of Mindful Life London. She is a mindfulness practitioner and a level 2 trained Mindfulness Trainer through the Clear Mind Institute. She has also taken additional training with The Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. 

Her teaching is inspired by the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) approach developed by Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn and his colleagues at the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She operates according to the Good Practice Guidelines for Teachers laid out by the UK Network for Mindfulness-Based Teacher Trainers.
