Also sense your plane is faster than most of our planes, you would be in a better position to catch the lead plane if seperation were to occur.

Other than visibility, what is the inherent safety advantage of the wingman being lower & behind the lead aircraft?
 
(please don’t just shoot from the hip on this one... its not really that hard to figure out)
