All the Devils Are Here II

We will finish reading All the Devils Are Here: The Hidden History of the Financial Crisis by Bethany McLean and Joe Nocera. As with all history books, you know the basic ending. But the authors keep your interest with the unfolding of the crisis, and with all the egos, arrogance, greed, hubris, politics, miscalculations, regulatory failures, and outright fraud that led to the 2008 economic crash. If you want to watch a financial bubble in action, this is it. And with our next meeting not until March 10, you still have plenty of time to read the book. This is recent history. It has spawned both the Tea Party and the Occupy Wall Street movements. Passions are involved. Just to let you know; but I think you should come anyway.

Alas, only Margaret and I attended again, though I did receive three apologies from those who wanted to come but couldn't. But we had a really good conversation that I enjoyed a great deal.
