A large part of big data projects is stitching all of the elements together to create a complete solution. In this session, we will follow a big data workflow from sensor data creation through ingestion, cleansing, analytics, and visualization. The scenario will be executed entirely in the cloud, minimizing development and deployment time while increasing flexibility. Along the way, some new tools for developer and analytic productivity will be showcased. Some of the technologies included are: • An Arduino-based sensor board • MQTT messaging protocol • NodeRED • Cloud platform (IBM Bluemix) • NoSQL document store (Cloudant) • In-memory data warehouse (dashDB) • Analytics (notebooks in Data Science Experience) • Visualization and exploration (Watson Analytics)
