Dev - Windows Phone 7 Games with XNA

  • Mar 19, 2012 · 6:00 PM

Bio: Chris has been writing Windows software professionally for 18 years. His hobby for game development started much earlier by moving around ASCII characters in text mode using BASICA. His day jobs have included developing kiosks for theme parks and retail stores and portfolio analytics for commercial lending. However, in his free time, you'll find Chris playing the latest games on his Xbox 360 or Windows Phone 7.

Abstract: The XNA Framework is ready for you to leverage your existing .NET development skills to create fantastic games that you can publish today for Windows Phone 7 and 7.5, the PC, and the Xbox 360. But how do you get started? Come see how surprisingly easy it is to create your own games with XNA Game Studio starting at File > New Project with no previous game development experience required!

I am glad to read such kind comments. If you want to get the code we built, head over to and download it or the evening's slides (some notes included in the slides). You'll also see a link to the code on github so we can all collaborate and learn together. ZocDoc provided an awesome space and this group was really enthusiastic. You kept me on my toes and asked the best questions I've gotten so far. It was a pleasure to visit.
