Membership Requirements and Guidelines

To become a member and to remain as a member of Meet Me In St. Louis, you must meet the following criteria.

1. A clear profile photo of your face, that is properly illuminated, with no masks, costume makeup, or hidden from view by an object, such as a camera, hat, branch, etc., or too small to be easily seen in a 1 inch square thumbnail image. We would prefer a head and shoulders photo.

2. Please use your REAL name. NO SCREEN NAMES. You may use your first OR last name, BOTH ARE NOT REQUIRED, but you may use both if you wish. If you wish to be addressed by a nick name you can add that in parentheses () behind your name.

3. A)Members should RSVP in a timely fashion. If you plan to attend an event please sign up by the morning of the event. And if you are unable to attend an event you have signed up for please update your RSVP. This will allow Organizers/ hosts to have the most accurate headcount possible. Very important while making reservations or if it is a house party or any function with a limited number of available spots. If you cannot get to a computer in time please contact the Organizer/ host to inform them you will not attend an event.

B) Organizers/hosts will send out an email the day of or the day before an event outlining additional information, contact info and addresses/ meeting places. If you sign up minutes or hours before the event time there is no guarantee we will be able to get that information to you. Example... if we have a house party, I usually email out the address the night before. Anyone who signs up less than 24 hours in advance is taking the risk of NOT getting the address and not being able to attend. It is then your responsibility to contact the Organizer/hosts directly.

C) Certain Events have a limit/ cap( a maximum number of members that can attend.) Some events will have a wait list( meaning the limit has been reached, but you can be "next in line" for a spot. Being on the wait list DOES NOT GUARANTEE you a spot at an event.


4. If you RSVP yes and do not show up it is called a "NO SHOW". All 'No shows' are logged and if you accumulate an abundant amount you can/will be removed at the Organizer's discretion.

5. Be respectful! We are all adults so we should act like it. Be courteous, respectful and considerate to others( Organizers, Members, guests, wait staff, and anyone we encounter along the way).

6. Any unwanted solicitation for sex, any behavior that is considered lewd, offensive, derogatory, obscene or immoral or illegal will be dealt with promptly.

7. Any Posts/comments/pictures that are derogatory, harmful, duplicate, unwanted or unnecessary or excessive will be removed. Also this is NOT a place to promote your own events, groups, plans or business. If you have previous plans and cannot make an event do not post about a competing event /group/location. ANY comment can be removed at the Organizer's Discretion.

8. Due to safety and accountability issues, Guests will not be permitted. If you have someone you would like to bring along they must join the group before they can attend, they must fit the requirements of the group. Reasons include- ( among others) Safety , we like to know who is going (esp house parties). Reduce no shows, it happens at most events. Accountability -anytime anyone goes out with my groups, by extension they represent my groups. I don't want my members or random people giving my group(or meetup) a bad name. Increased attendance, more people signed up for the group, more chance they will show up.

9. In an effort to keep comments on track( and limit the number of comments) Only members attending an event may post comments. Members not attending may post ONE comment stating they cannot attend and a reason. Comments were originally designed to allow Organizers/hosts a way to share updates. Members not attending generally do not provide information relevant to the event.


Basically we want a fun happy safe group. Anyone that causes problems, negativity, hostility, threatens or endangers other members will dealt with and likely will be banned from the group and reported to Meetup HQ and the authorities as needed.

All Organizers/hosts are volunteers. We devote our own time, energy, efforts and money( yes I have to pay meetup to have a group!!) We will do the best possible job to ensure we have fun and exciting events and all attendees have a fun, safe time. I will do what I can, but I cannot sit around all day waiting for last minute RSVPs.

All members and their guests are welcome to attend any and all events organized by the group with the clear understanding that they attend these events at their own risk. The Organizers/hosts and the group cannot assume responsibility for injuries or for loss, damage or theft of personal property.
By becoming a member you hereby release Meet Me In St. Louis, and its Organizers/hosts, from any and all responsibility and liability.
