Are you struggling with mental health challenges and seeking community support? MOOD MEND offers two support groups a week -- a Narrative Therapy based one on Saturdays 2-4pm (Writing for Wellness) and an Art Therapy based group (Conscious Creativity), pending interest (please email RSVP for this group; it will only run if there are at least 3 members going), on Sundays 2-4pm. There are also outings and socials. Come on out, listen and engage, and, have fun!

Writing for Wellness (Narrative Therapy)

WELCOME WRITERS!!! This is WRITING FOR WELLNESS, a FREE program built on the principles and intended outcomes of Narrative Therapy – running every Saturday, 2-4pm at St. Joseph's Hospital in Conference Dining Room 1B (head to the cafeteria and turn right). EVERYONE IS WELCOME -- peers (18+) living with any mental health challenge and peer supporters! You can register or drop in but we prefer registration so we have enough supplies. WHAT IS NARRATIVE THERAPY? We live our lives by the stories we tell ourselves and others e.g. "The Trauma Narrative" -- because I experienced trauma I am damaged goods. Try a good Dollar Store find! Or, bring a laptop, netbook, or tablet.
