Prophet Muhammad's Birthday Celebration

Dear everyone,

I'm trying something new...I'm coordinating the celebration of Prophet Muhammad's birthday with the Malaysian Muslim community. The outline of the program will be musical with nasyeed songs by Malaysian students, a youth group from the Orange County Islamic Center that is led by a Malaysian teacher and myself, also of Malaysian heritage!!

AND, there will be Malaysian food! :-)

I was hoping to rope in other Muslim traditions like those from Africa, but that didn't happen. Maybe next year and maybe some of you in this community can help with reaching out to others interested in participating in such a program.

The address at Pomona College is not precise, but it will be on that campus. I'll post a more detailed address and directions next week. In the meantime, please plan on coming and bring $5 to help subsidize the food!
