Please join us on Sunday 7/28/2013 for some volleyball at the Fremont Tennis Center. There are 3 sand courts, and we will set up 2 to 3 grass courts. We will set up doubles courts on the sand. Set up will start at 12pm and play will go till dark. Projected weather should be warm. Feel free to come sooner to setup or practice. This will be the last regular Fremont game. Hope to see you out there!
Note to the City of San Leandro:
The City of San Leandro has told me we cannot play grass volleyball more than 2 times a month or put stakes into the ground at Marina Park. This is open pick-up volleyball where there are no real groups since almost all the players come by themselves to play. On top of that, the same players do not come every week. Some people come once a month or once a year. We can still play sand volleyball at Marina Park. We will have to move things around since Marina Park is no longer a venue we can use on a regular basis.
12:00pm: Set up of nets
12:45pm or before: First games go off
3:30pm or after: Beginner level Adults and Children should come at this time or after. I may have to leave for a track & field event between 2pm to 4:20pm. If you are a new player and I am not present, ask for Ray, Brian, Jake, Miguel, or Nguyen to get you into a game. I will play with and coach the beginners when I return. We will be able to play till 8pm or dark.
8:00pm: Games end

About MPV (formed July 2010):
Play is on sand at Marina Park (San Leandro) every Sunday in any weather. This massive park can hold a dozen nets. We always welcome more skilled players (B, BB, A, AA) and C/Beginning players aspiring to improve. We play under FIVB Beach rules for doubles and triples. For 4s, 5s, and 6s, the court can play under FIVB Beach or Indoor rules.
Advanced venues: Play is on sand only (mostly doubles) at Ocean Beach (San Francisco), Mission Bay Creek Park (San Francisco), Clark Kerr Campus (Berkeley), Fremont Tennis Center (Fremont), Montara Beach, and Santa Cruz Beach. We play under FIVB Beach rules for doubles.
