Gravity Pulls, the new CD from Hounds of Finn (http://www.houndsoffinn.com/), arrives March 1, 2013 on New Folk Records (http://www.newfolkrecords.com/).
Twin Cities-based folk-rock group Hounds of Finn is releasing the new CD Gravity Pulls on March 1, 2013. The much-anticipated follow-up to 2010's Songs of Men in Boats (http://www.houndsoffinn.com/discography.cfm) features 11 newly-recorded tracks, including original songs “Ocean,” “Twenty Demons,” and the title track, “Gravity Pulls”.
The record was funded by the generous support of fans through Kickstarter.com (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/houndsoffinn/us-four-and-no-more-hounds-of-finn-new-cd) and was produced by David Kellogg & Hounds of Finn for New Folk Records.
A special CD release concert is scheduled for Friday, March 1st at the Crooked Pint Ale House (http://www.crookedpint.com/) in downtown Minneapolis. Sponsored by FINNEGANS (http://finnegans.org/), proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Emergency Foodshelf Network (http://www.emergencyfoodshelf.org/), fighting hunger and malnutrition in the state of Minnesota. Tickets are $10 at the door, and there will be special prices on FINNEGANS all night with profits also going to charity.
The CD release concert will feature special guests Reina del Cid and the Cidizens (http://www.reinadelcidmusic.com/). Set times are 9:00-10:30 pm for the Hounds of Finn with guests to follow. CDs will be on sale at a special price of $10 for everyone at the show.
