This is one of the few Steven Spielberg movies I haven't seen from his pre-Schindler's List period.  At this point, he was still making fantasy-driven genre films, so this was a departure from his usual output.  The movie stars a young Christian Bale.

A young English boy struggles to survive under Japanese occupation during World War II.

***Please keep an eye out for updates or changes to the time and venue up to the day of the event.  If you are unable to attend, change your RSVP ASAP.

I will start closing out RSVPs the night before the event, but you can still show up and I can add you to the attended list. Cancellations after the event RSVP closing time may be treated as 'No Show', unless you turn up for the film.

In order to be marked as attended you will need to show up at the meetup time as indicated, or connect with the group right outside of the screening theatre room at the end of the movie.

When you RSVP 'Yes' you are agreeing to the MAMM policy and the Liability Waiver posted in this link:

The movie was just okay. It definitely doesn't hold up to the other Spielberg films that preceded it. It didn't have the epic feel since the cinematography felt like it was meant for TV. The story went all over the place, and it kept shifting from serious war movie to light hearted kids movie. And the multiple false ends didn't help either. I guess its also a forgotten film because John Boorman released Hope & Glory the same year, which had a similar story about a young boy living during WW2. It's one Spielberg film that if you skip it, you're not missing anything.
