Digital Film Festival: Cockneys Vs Zombies @ Scotiabank Theatre - Only $6!!!

  • Feb 3, 2013 · 9:15 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Phil D is the organizer for this meetup. If you need to contact him, please post a message on the wall, or go into his profile and email him through there.

Per MAMM policy, cellphone use by members during a movie is prohibited. We request that you put away your phones once the previews start. If you need to check your phone for any reason, please exit the auditorium.

For (new) members: Please take the time to rate the event (not the movie) afterwards. Written feedback on the wall is also welcome if you want to talk about the movie or other things. Thanks!

This film is part of the Digital Film Festival that Cineplex will be featuring during the week of Feb 1-7, 2013. Here's the complete film schedule:

It looks like the main theme is violent movies. I will probably do several of the movies as meetups, which I will post a few weeks before the event dates.

This movie hasn't been shown in theatres in North America. It played at one of the horror movie festivals last fall, so you may want to purchase your ticket in advance to avoid disappointment.

Cockneys Vs Zombies

Movie synopsis:

A gang of bank robbers fight their way out of a zombie-infested London.

(Warning: Graphic violence and language in the trailer)

Meetup Location: Ground floor, just inside the main entrance, by the movie posters and ticket machines.

Meetup time: 9:15pm. Will wait about 10min.

The movie starts @ 9:50pm.

Movie Running Time: 1h28m

Cost of movie: $6

I look forward to seeing you there!!

***Please keep an eye out for updates or changes to the time and venue up to the day of the event. If you are unable to attend, change your RSVP ASAP.

I will start closing out RSVPs the night before the event, but you can still show up and I can add you to the attended list. Cancellations after the event RSVP closing time may be treated as 'No Show', unless you turn up for the film.

In order to be marked as attended you will need to show up at the meetup time as indicated, or connect with the group right outside of the screening theatre room at the end of the movie.

When you RSVP 'Yes' you are agreeing to the MAMM policy and the Liability Waiver posted in this link:

Although I thought it would have a few more laughs (à la Shaun of the Dead) it was a pretty good movie... great deal for $6 and a free pass! Thanks for organizing! Still laughing @ that baby scene. :-D

That's great you got the pass, I thought you might have missed out since the manager showed up after you had gone off. The technical glitch wasn't too bad, I've had worse situations in other theatres and no free passes for the trouble.

Thanks Phil for getting us in to hear stuff like, "He's eating a foot! That's disgusting!" and to see an old geezer on a walker being slowly chased by staggering zombies. Tons of fun.

this was a great movie. I feel the few times they let slide were far outweighed by some of the original ideas. Only $6 and a free movie ticket!
I feel bad for folks who didn't get to see it. Don't know when it'll be around again.

It was a fun movie.....lots of good laughs.

I thought the movie had some good moments, but overall it was more of a low budget straight-to-video type of flick. It probably could have benefited from better editing. The cast was good. I'm looking forward to the sequel Scousers vs Zombies. ;)

Hi Stefany, we don't purchase tickets for films and cineplex doesn't hold tickets at the box office. They're strictly first come first serve. If you cannot purchase them online in advance, its up to you if you still want to come and take your chances there will still be tickets.
